Steps, Foster to Adopt

Interested in becoming or already a Foster / Adoptive Parent.

  1. Attend orientation. This is a state requirement that is the first step. Orientation is held every other month at:
    Indio DPS office
    48113 Jackson Street
    Indio CA 92201.
  2. At the orientation the process for foster/adopt will be explained in detail as well as licensing forms being provided.
  3. Call 1-800-665-KIDS (5437) to receive the package of information.
  4. Call Angelica Juarez at 760-863-7353 to register for the orientation class. You must register in advance to attend this class.
  5. Join For the Children.

Coachella Valley orientations will be held at the Desert Sands Unified School District Offices - Room 201.

Riverside / La Sierra
9:00am - 2:00 pm for all classes listed below.
